Inshore fishing in coastal georgia is as good as any on the East Coast of the United States. Georgia has 1/3 of all the marshlands of the eastern seaboard with hundreds of miles of small winding creeks that are filled abundantly with all sorts of wildlife and gamefish. Inshore fishing in coastal Georgia and the Golden Isles is ususally scheduled around the change of the tides. We try to avoid fishing on full moon days and new moon days due to swift tidal waters that stir the water during those times. We use live bait and plugs. Fish catches are targeted towards speckled sea trout and redfish)spot tail bass). Many flounder and a wide variety of small sharks compliment the abundant catch and action. |

Nearshore Fishing This trip means fishing offshore of the islands up to 3 miles out. This trip produces large shark, tarpon, spanish mackerel, jack crevalle, and other types of fish. Usually bait is taken live with a cast net or catch small bottom fish such as whiting and rehook them live for the game fish. Certain times of the year, giant red fish are caught on this trip.
Offshore Fishing 3/4 day This trip means fishing offshore about 9 miles out at local man made reefs. This trip is a combination of bottom fishing, surface fishing with live bait and slow trolling for game fish. On this trip species of fish caught can be cobia, red fish, barracuda, spanish mackerel, king mackerel. Live and dead bait are used with fishing gear being classified from light to medium heavy.
Offshore Fishing Full day This trip means fishing offshore 14 to 30 miles out at sea, maybe further. Once again fishing is centered around artificial reefs. Live bait and trolling lures and dead bait is the style of fishing employed. Target species of fish is usually king mackerel, bonito, barracuda, and off the bottom can be grouper, snapper, and other species of bottom fish. Sometimes sail fish are caught.
